Serving

4 ounces of the mahi mahi will count as your serving of protein

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb of Mahi Mahi (protein)
  2. 3 serranos
  3. ⅓ cilantro bunch
  4. 8 limes
  5. 1 white onion
  6. Salt/pepper for taste

Notes

1 lb of Mahi Mahi will be enough for 2 persons. If you make this just for yourself you can have it throughout the day for your meals as a protein serving or you can save for the next couple of days for meal prep. The serranos give the fish a bold kick so if you are not a fan of spicy food I suggest you use 3 jalapenos instead of 3 serranos

Instructions

First you will get your Mahi Mahi and cut the meat from the skin. To be honest this is probably the toughest part because it does take time and caution when doing this. Once you have cut the skin off you will cut the fish into small thin pieces. You will do the same with the onion and the serranos. You know what the hardest part is the serranos/jalapeno slicing because if you touch your eyes afterwards they will be on fire lol.

You will then mix all of your ingredients together (including the juice of your limes) add salt and pepper, cover, and chill for 2 hours. You could even do this dish in the evening and have it ready for the following day. After the 2 hours (or overnight) once you taste and you feel it needs more pepper and salt please go ahead and add more to taste.

As you can see you can pair with some chips or tostadas or lets be honest with any veggie or carb you wish. Better yet these are so tasty especially with the pickled onions you can just eat as is with your fingers. Enjoy Poderosas.
