Hola Poderosa! We all love a good healthy Gordita!! My most favorite part about these is that you can even pack them in a ziploc and you are ready to go anywhere!

2 gorditas will count as your protein, carb, and fat serving. Make sure you make your veggie serving :)

Ingredients

2 cups of Maseca

1.5 cups of water

3 fingers of salt

Beans of choice

Mozzarella cheese

Oil of choice

Notes

You need to be the judge the consistency of your masa and the water. These are the measurements I used but if you notice your mix is too dry, add more water. Your beans should be ready to go so you dont waste any time in your prep .

Instructions

Here are your main ingredients. I love to cut out a plastic bag because honestly they are the best so your tortilla doesnt stick. You will get your 2 cups of masa and 1.5 cups of water with your 3 finger grab of salt and mix all together with your hands.

You will get a bolita of masa. I want you to be the judge of it. It should be able to fit in the middle of your palm. You will then make your tortilla.

You will then add two spoonfuls of beans and a 3 finger grab of cheese.

Next, with the plastic bag, start folding the tortilla towards the inside of the mix and repeat the process.

This is what it should look like. So now you will try to flatten out even more between your hands. And before placing it on your hot comal or pan you will drizzle some oil of choice so they can come out nice and crispy looking.
