Wonton Soup

Wonton Soup

This ground chicken wonton is literally everything and more. I was honestly scared to make it because I mean they are wontons… wontons made from scratch and that is scary to think of making BUT I DID IT and you will do it too. This soup is comfort in a bowl. This soup is heaven in a bowl. This soup is life in a bowl. I know this will be one of your favorite soups to make from here on out and I encourage you to make it a family event where everyone gets involved making the wontons. Enjoy Poderosas.

Instructions

These are the core ingredients for your soup. If you cannot find chicken broth you can boil a large pot of water and add chicken consome. If you cannot find the sweet cooking rice seasoning you can opt out on it and use a 3 finger grab of sugar. The ginger paste is something I highly recommend you get your fingers on because it makes the biggest difference (flavor wise) when you add to your ground chicken. Do not skip this ingredient.

You will get a large pot and heat up your entire chicken broth and 4 cups of water. You will then add ½ of your ginger root chopped, 6 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce, 3 finger grab of salt, 3 finger grab of ground black pepper, and 4 green onions. Put on high and set aside.

Next get your ground chicken and mix 1 tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce, 2 chopped green onion, drizzle of sesame oil, drizzle of sweet cooking rice seasoning or a 3 finger grab of sugar, 3 finger grab of corn starch, 3 finger grab of salt, 3 finger grab of ground black pepper, 4 minced garlic, and at least 3 tablespoons of ginger paste. What I did for the ginger paste is I added a big squeeze to my ground chicken because I love love love ginger.

You will get your ground chicken mix, a bowl of water, and your wonton skins. What I did to make life easier before I began making my wontons is I carefully separated the skins so they are easier to grab.

Grab your wonton wrapper, wet the 4 sides with water, scoop your ground chicken mix, and add.

You then make your wonton soup making sure all four sides are sealed shut. Keep in mind there is no perfect way to make your wontons. Have fun and get your family involved.

You repeat the process until you use up all of your wontons or make your desired amount. If you have extra ground chicken mix, cook it and have some protein for the following meal.

Once you have made all of your wontons you will add to your boiling water along with your washed bok choy. You will cover and put on high for 15 minutes.

And just like that you have your amazing wonton soup Poderosas. Enjoy every single bite.
