Pico de gallo is one of those recipes that we can feel overwhelmed with when looking up a simple tasty recipe to follow. Of course there are so many different ways of making pico de gallo but I love to keep it simple and tasty for mine. Pico de gallo is one of my favorite salsas (if you want to consider it that) because you can pair it with your lean whites, frijoles de la hoya, top your veggies, chips, or simply even treat it as a side of veggies.
Ingredients
- 6 roma tomatoes
- 1 jalapeno
- ½ cilantro bunch
- ½ white onion
- Salt to taste
Notes
I love to use roma tomatoes for my pico de gallo because they are not too sweet or bitter and they have the perfect consistency (not too mushy). If you love onion, cilantro, and jalapeno, you add more or as much as you please.
Instructions

You will simply chop all of your ingredients and mix together. Once you mix it together go ahead and add your salt. This is where you will add to taste. If you want a zesty kick add 1 lemon to your mix.

Look how beautiful your pico de gallo looks with all of the ingredients mixed together. This bowl has the essentials a Mexican household always required: Jitomate, cebolla, y jalapeno. Enjoy :)
