IRRESISTIBLE CHOW MIEN

IRRESISTIBLE CHOW MIEN

Oh chow mien, I love eating you with a shit load of sriracha sauce but you aren't necessarily the healthiest to have especially in restaurants. Luckily I was able to create this recipe that allows me to have you more often without feeling so guilty. So guess what chow mien, I’m about to make you and enjoy every freaking bite of noodles, veggies, and mouth watering chicken.

With this mix you can have 3 cups worth and it will count as your protein, veggie, and carb serving. If you want to add more veggies on the side you can add more if you wish.

Ingredients

  1. 4 chicken breast (protein)
  2. ½ cabbage (veggie)
  3. ½ green onions (veggie)
  4. ½ bag of chopped carrots (veggie)
  5. 3 celery stalks (veggie)
  6. ⅓ noodles from package (small grab)
  7. Stir-fry sauce (be mindful when adding)
  8. ¼ cup ginger paste
  9. 2 tablespoons of minced garlic paste or 4 minced garlic
  10. 1-2 tablespoons (or a drizzle) of Vegetable oil (or oil of choice)

Notes

If your meal requires you to add a serving of fat go ahead and add your desired fat serving to your plate. Yes we used oil to cook our chicken but it was not enough to count it as a fat serving so go ahead and add your fat if you wish (and if your meal requires you to have one). Get creative and if you want to add some spicy sauce to your serving, go ahead and add some because we know chile makes everything taste that much better.

Instructions

You will add vegetable oil to the pan and add your chopped chicken breast. When you add your raw chicken breast to pan season with salt (be mindful). While you chicken breast cooks  bring a pot of water to a boil and add your noodles so while your chicken breasts cook your noodles can be cooking at the same time. When chicken breast fully cooks set aside

You will then add your ginger paste and minced garlic to your pan and saute your chopped celery stalks and chopped carrots for about 3 minutes. Followed by adding your chopped cabbage and saute for about 1 minute. It should look like this:

Next add your chicken breast to your mix and then add your drained cooked noodles to your mix as well.

You will then add your Stir-Fry sauce and mix everything very well. I personally added the entire package of sauce to my mix. Yes of course the mix has a lot of sodium but I can tolerate 1 pound of water retention for a day or two.
